Our most scratch-resistant induction hobs

The advanced surface technology of SaphirMatt® induction hobs uses etched glass. It contains microscopic grooves that prevent scratches from becoming visible. The result: the surface is up to 10 times more scratch resistant than traditional hobs. 
The SaphirMatt® SE features a special coating, which provides up to 3 times more scratch resistance.

Yes, the stainresistant surface of all SaphirMatt® induction hobs makes them easy to clean and helps maintain their newlooking appearance over time. The SaphirMatt® surface makes daily cleaning quick and easy. 

Wipe your SaphirMatt® hob after each use to keep it in top condition. Most spills, such as water marks or grease stains, can be wiped away once the hob has cooled. 
Use a soft, damp cloth and, for a thorough clean, do not use abrasive cleaning materials such as abrasive cleansers or scouring pads, as these may scratch the surface. Be especially careful with any side trims: clean them with dishwashing detergent. Do not use mildly abrasive cleaning products, polishing detergents, unsuitable scrapers, or the rough side of a sponge on the side trims.

AEG offers two different SaphirMatt® induction hobs: 
• AEG SaphirMatt® 
• AEG SaphirMatt® SE 

Both hobs deliver exceptional scratch resistance. The AEG SaphirMatt® SE is up to three times more scratchresistant thanks to a different surface technology that uses a specialised coating. AEG SaphirMatt® is ten times more scratch-resistant due to the etched glass surface. 

You will need cookware that is compatible with induction (pans with magnetic bases). For optimal performance, the diameter of the pan should match the cooking zone as closely as possible.
