Experience Precision with AEG Induction Hobs

AEG induction hobs are easy to clean and maintain. Induction technology transfers heat directly into the cookware rather than the hob's surface, making spills less likely to burn as they may do on ceramic and gas hobs.

Our hobs detect when water is close to boiling and automatically adjust the temperature to maintain a gentle simmer, so there’s no need for constant monitoring.

AEG’s innovative and scratch-resistant SaphirMatt surface keeps induction hobs looking new for longer. Tests show up to four times fewer scratches from pots and pans compared to standard glass hobs. Choose a SaphirMatt induction hob for a design that lasts. The elegant matte black finish resists fingerprints and stains, ensuring your hob maintains its fresh appearance over time.

What cookware works on an induction hob?

All magnetic cookware, such as iron, titanium, and some types of stainless steel, work on an induction hob. Look for the induction symbol or test with a magnet. Copper, aluminum, glass, and ceramic cookware won't work.

How does an induction hob work?

Unlike traditional cooktops, an induction hob uses copper coils. When alternating current passes through them, a changing magnetic field is created. Place a magnetic pot on the hob, and the fluctuations in the magnetic field create electric currents in the pot’s base. These currents heat up the pot’s surface, transferring heat to its contents quickly and efficiently.

Using Cast Iron

Cast iron works perfectly with AEG induction hobs due to its magnetic properties.

What happens if you use the wrong pot on an induction hob?

Nothing will happen other than the pot not heating up. Induction technology relies on magnetism, so the cookware must be magnetic and have a flat bottom.
