CONSUMER RATINGS AND REVIEWS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern your conduct associated with the Consumer Ratings and Reviews and/or Questions and Answers service (the “CRR Service”) offered by Electrolux PLC on www.aeg.co.uk.

General terms for submitting consumer reviews, questions or other content

By submitting a consumer review, question or any other content or materials (“Content”) through the CRR Service, you guarantee that:

• You are the sole author of the Content and that you have full ownership and title to the intellectual property rights in the Content;

• To the extent possible under applicable law, all "moral rights" that you may have in such Content have been voluntarily waived by you;

• All Content that you post is accurate and does not include any false, misleading or incomplete information of the Company’s products or repair service offerings;

• You are at least 18 years old;

• Use of the Content you supply does not violate these Terms and Conditions and will not cause injury to any person or entity.

• When submitting a review, you own and/or have used the product that is subject to the review. 

You further agree that you may not submit any Content:

• That violates the review guidelines set forth below; 

• That is known or should have been known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading;

• That infringes any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy;

• That violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising);

• That is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libelous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership or corporation;

• For which you have received compensation, or a promise of the same, by a third party and not in connection with a campaign or similar activity initiated by the Company. 

• That includes any information that references other websites, addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers;

• That contains any computer viruses, worms or other potentially damaging computer programs or files.

You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any Content submitted by you and that the Company, including its affiliates and any of the Company’s or its affiliates’ representatives such as employees, consultants and third-party service providers (jointly referred to as “Representatives”), shall not be liable for any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions. 

To the extent permitted under applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold the Company, its affiliates and their respective Representatives, harmless from all claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown including reasonable court and lawyers' fees, arising out of a breach of your representations and warranties set forth in these Terms and Conditions, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party. 

Review Guidelines

We reserve the right to not publish Content submitted by you or to publish Content in abbreviated form if it contains any of the following or is a violation on the grounds of:

• Terms and Conditions: Content that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions and/or that violates any applicable laws, statutes, ordinances or regulations.

• Irrelevant Content, including: 

• • Amount paid for the product or repair service subject of the review.

  • Information or experience related to shipment, installation or contact centers.

  • Content written in a different language than the language used on the website where the Content is submitted.

  • Information about other products or repair services.

  • Submission of more than one review of the same product or repair service offering by the same person.

  • External links.

• Inappropriate content: Obscene, discriminatory, or offensive language, or any other language not suitable for a public forum, critical comments on other reviews posted by other authors or any other comments or Content violating any applicable laws or regulations.

• Fraud: “spam” content, attempts at automating content submissions, or use of fake email IDs for review submission, or any attempts to try and impersonate someone or another organization.

• Marketing: Advertisement of or reference to other products, repair service offerings, brands, offers, websites, or price quotations.

• Personally identifiable information: Email addresses, URLs, phone numbers, physical addresses or other forms of contact information, pictures of persons or other personally identifiable information.

Despite the validation and moderation process, we cannot guarantee that all reviews displayed are submitted exclusively by consumers who have bought or used our products. 

License to and use of Content

For any Content that you submit, you grant the Company including its affiliates a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable right and license to without limitation use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, improve our products and services, use in conjunction with other works such as data analysis, create derivative works from and/or sell and/or distribute such Content and/or incorporate such Content into any form, medium or technology, in particular but not limited to for commercial and marketing purposes, throughout the world without compensation to you. For the avoidance of doubt, the rights granted herein may be sublicensed by the Company or its affiliates to third parties, including but not limited to the Company's or its affiliates’ retailers, media agencies and distributors.

All Content that you submit may be used at the Company’s and its affiliates’ sole discretion, including as part of the Company’s and its affiliates’ marketing activities and/or in their social media channels. The Company reserves the right to change, condense, withhold publication, replicate, remove or delete any Content on the Company’s website that the Company deems, in its sole discretion, to violate the review guidelines or any other provision of these Terms and Conditions. The Company does not guarantee that you will have any recourse to edit or delete any Content you have submitted. Typos, misspellings, and grammatical errors in any Content submitted will be approved, unless the errors materially interfere with other users’ ability to read and interpret the Content.

Ratings and written reviews are generally posted within two to four business days. However, longer periods may be necessary to ensure the compliance with these Terms and Conditions. 

None of the Content that you submit shall be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of the Company or its affiliates or their respective Representatives. 

Personal data

By submitting Content using the CRR Service, you accept and acknowledge that the Company or its service provider managing the moderation of any Content submitted may contact you in relation to the Content you have submitted or any administrative issues directly related to such Content and the publication of the same.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR RATE & WIN PRIZE DRAW CAMPAIGN

Entry period for the current campaign: 1 November 2023 (12:01 GMT) – 30 April 2024 (23:59 GMT)

By submitting a review and entering this prize draw, you acknowledge having read and accepted these terms and conditions and to be bound by these conditions and the decisions of Electrolux PLC and you declare that you satisfy all the requirements.

• Eligibility: To take part in this prize draw, you must be aged 18 or over and reside in the United Kingdom. Only one person per household can participate in this prize draw per product. Excluded from any participation in this prize draw: employees of  Electrolux PLC, companies (including employees and collaborators) which are linked to Electrolux PLC and all members of their family at first degree (i.e. people domiciled at the same address).

•  Any reviews submitted outside of the entry period above will not be included in the prize draw.

• How to participate: It is not possible to participate in this prize draw in any way other than that described in these Conditions. To participate in this prize draw, you must (a) own an AEG product; (b) have registered the product; (c) submitted a review for the product via the link provided in the email; and (d) and the review meets the requirements of our Customer Ratings and Reviews Terms of Use and has been approved by our third-party review moderator. Review text cannot exceed 200 words. Only one product review can be submitted per product purchased, by a single person from the household concerned.

• Prize details:  The Prize carries no cash value and no cash alternative is available. The Prize is non-transferable, is subject to availability and may not be substituted by the winner.  Electrolux PLC reserves the right to award alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value.

• Winners: Two winners will be randomly selected on the last day of each month from all participants who have entered the prize draw in accordance with these conditions. Electrolux PLC’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.

• Winners will be notified by email within 10 days of winner selection. To claim the prize, the winner must respond within 10 days and provide a valid shipping address for delivery of the gift. In the absence of such a response, Electrolux PLC reserves the right to designate another participant as winner. Electrolux PLC will be responsible for delivery costs, but is not responsible for additional costs related to the delivery of the prize, including, but not limited to, taxes and customs duties.

• Liability: Electrolux PLC does not accept any responsibility for any entries that are lost, damaged, incomplete, delayed or rendered invalid due to incorrect entrant data, system, software or hardware failure or any other reason whatsoever.

Electrolux PLC, its agents and commercial partners exclude to the fullest extent permitted by law any liability for (a) any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the prize draw or with the acceptance or possession of any Prize (other than those warranties or conditions implied by statute and which cannot be excluded); (b) the accuracy or otherwise of any description or illustration of any Prize; (c) any loss, damage, non-availability or late receipt of any Prize or any communication associated with this prize draw; and (d) any fees, charges, taxes or other costs which any winner may be required to pay in connection with any Prize. Electrolux PLC further disclaims liability for any injury or damage suffered by the entrant or any other person relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the prize draw. Electrolux PLC will not be liable for failure or delay in delivery or performance of their obligations under these Terms and Conditions in the event of any unforeseen cause beyond its control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure. Electrolux PLC is not responsible for any third party acts or omissions.

• Violation of these General Conditions and abuse: In the event of violation of one of the provisions set out in these General Conditions, participation is absolutely void. In the event of abuse, fraud, deception or misrepresentation, Electrolux PLC expressly reserves the right to exclude the participant(s) from participation in the competition and, where applicable, to recover the prizes awarded. Electrolux PLC may suspend and cancel the participations of one or more participants, in the case of a suspicious action which could be, without this being exhaustive: the introduction of an automatic response system, a participation algorithm unusual, or an attempt to break into Electrolux PLC’s servers.

• Data confidentiality: By participating in the competition, you agree that the personal data you provide when creating your user account and sending your product review and your postal address will be used only for the purposes of operating this prize draw. You also agree that your personal data will be transferred to selected third parties, for the sole purpose of ensuring the smooth running of the prize draw. • Intellectual property rights: By participating in this competition, you guarantee that the product review complies with the Customer Ratings and Reviews Terms of Use. Electrolux PLC will have a licence to use the content of the reviews as set out in the Customer Ratings and Reviews Terms of Use. 

• Applicable law: These general conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these general conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. 

• Miscellaneous: Electrolux PLC reserves the right to make modifications to this competition or to its conduct and/or to these General Conditions. Electrolux PLC cannot be held responsible if, for reasons beyond its control, the competition must be interrupted, postponed or canceled. Electrolux PLC will itself take the appropriate decisions in the event of the occurrence of a circumstance or eventuality which is not explicitly mentioned in these General Conditions. No appeal is possible against its decision.
