Clean the fluff filter
Frequency: After every use
Benefit: Optimise drying time and prevent extensive energy consumption
If you want to achieve the best drying performance, clean the fluff filter after every use. The filter collects lint during the drying cycle, and a clogged filter leads to longer cycles and increased energy consumption.
Instructions:
1. Open the door and pull the filter up
2. Push the hook to open the filter
3. Use a moist hand or towel to clean both parts of the filter
4. Close the filter
5. If necessary, remove fluff from the filter socket and gasket. You can do this using a vacuum cleaner
Empty the water container
Frequency: After every use
Benefit: Ensure your tumble dryer works smoothly
Remember to empty the water container after each drying cycle. The program will stop automatically if the container is full.
Instructions:
1. Pull the water container out of your tumble dryer.
2. Pull the plastic connection out and pour the water into a basin.
3. Put the plastic connection back and place the water container back in position
Tip: You can use the water from the water container as an alternative to distilled water (e.g., for steam ironing). Before you use the water, remove dirt residues with a filter.
Clean the condenser
Frequency: Check the condenser once a month and clean it when the symbol for the condenser flashes on the display or when it is dirty
Benefit: A clean condenser helps to avoid damaging the tumble dryer and prevents increasing energy consumption
Every six months or when the symbol for condenser flashes on the display, check the condenser and its compartment. Remove any fluff using a wet cloth and or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Do not use the tumble dryer when the condenser is blocked with fluff as it can damage the machine and increase energy consumption.
Access to the condenser may differ depending on the model of your tumble dryer. If you are unsure please check your user manual.
